WHO IS LEMONADE FOR?
It depends on what a person is looking for in their insurance company, really. I use them cause I have to have renter’s coverage according to my rental management company. However, and what’s more, is the reason I dig using them for my mandatory coverage.
I super dig that they cost hardly anything. They don’t spam me with emails, they don’t bother me with notifications, they don’t try to upsell me with add-ons, and I’ve never had to call them or use their chat feature to fix anything; I can do everything through their website's interface without hinderance.
Thus far, I haven’t ever had to submit a claim, so..., really..., I'm not sure how they are on that end of things. I’m going to assume if I ever have to submit a claim it’ll go swimmingly. Their car insurance is super new to my part of the country and, currently, they only have car insurance in a small number of states in the U.S. Therefore, for me, they need to have more customer service reviews for their car insurance before I even think to leave the one I'm currently using.
Overall, so far, so great. I really like them. Oh! And! I also really like that they take all the unclaimed monies in their coffers, annually, and give it to various charities offered as our choice through their Giveback program. They are my vicarious philanthropic means for spreading love and hope to other people, very awesome! They serve their purpose in my life and they do it unobtrusively- I really couldn't ask for more from an insurance company.
